If your child is attending Henley Bank High tomorrow to perform the King Lear adaptation, please remember to send your child in with a packed lunch. The children will eat this before we leave for Henley Bank.
Thanks

Today we visited the book exchange. The children were able to purchase a new book for 20p. Can your child tell you about their chosen book? Can they explain why they chose it?
Today both classes started their class keyboard lessons. We learnt a couple of notes and played some different rhythms.
Can your child clap you a rhythm?
Can they remember which notes we learnt?
Can they explain what a stave is?
Ask them what these notes are.
Today year 3 started researching our authors for world book day. Each class had a different author and were armed with lots of questions to solve.
Can your child remember who are authors are?
Can they remember any key information about our author?
Has your child read any books by our author?
Can they comment on their favourite book by our authors?
Tomorrow year 3 have the opportunity to visit the village square for the book exchange. Don’t forget to send your child with 20p.
Please don’t forget to send in your child’s costume.
All children must wear plain black clothes – including socks.
In addition, if anyone has a children’s crown or two that we could borrow, that would be fabulous. We are also still after a white shirt for our Doctor.
Thank you
Miss Hawkins
The Jay’s has a great indoor Athletics session. They developed skills in running and jumping, linking these to Athletic events.
The Woodpeckers have stepped into the shoes of their favourite superheroes. They have created and linked together different moves. We all observed each others and had to guess the superheroes and powers being used!
Today year 3 played the fair trade chocolate game. The children each had a role in the production of chocolate. Some children pretended to be fair trade farmers and others were independent farmers. We then discussed the pay for each farmer.
Can your child explain which farmer they would prefer to be and why?
Today year 3 were lucky enough to participate in a football skills session. We also were able to participate in an inflatable football session.
There is also a new football climb starting. Please see the attached picture.
Can your child name their favourite part?
Half of Year 3 have been practicing for their Shakespeare performance. Please try to practice your child’s lines with them as much as possible.
We are also looking for costumes. If you have any of the below items that we could borrow, please let your child’s teacher know. We are also looking for some plastic/ foam swords.
All items will be returned after the performance.
